The ultimate live-performance tool for keyboard players
When acclaimed producer and Musical Director Matt Robertson (Bjork, The Prodigy) approached us last year, he faced a major challenge. Existing VST hosts were often too complex and time-consuming to configure for live use — a serious problem when you’re responsible for delivering flawless shows on global tours.
Matt needed a solution that:
Matt’s dream was to create a tool designed by performers, for performers — one that stripped away unnecessary complexity while giving musicians the confidence to focus on their performance.
That vision became StageBox.
Working side by side with Matt, we brought StageBox to life. The development was led by Jules Storer — a legend in the audio software world and creator of JUCE — bringing his deep expertise to the project alongside Matt’s creative vision.
Throughout the process, our role was to translate Matt’s performance needs into elegant, reliable software that works in the heat of live shows.
StageBox is now empowering keyboard players with a streamlined, intuitive workflow for live performance. What started as a conversation about “what if” is now a tool designed to change the way performers approach their live rigs.
We’re incredibly proud to have been part of that journey.
In this episode of The Audio Programmer Podcast, Matt joins us to share how StageBox came to life — from idea to execution.
