Scorch
Partnering with Sauceware Audio to deliver a powerful new instrument for beatmakers.
“Working with The Audio Programmer was a blast. As musicians with little coding knowledge, they were able to bring technical clarity to all aspects of this project in a way that we could understand. This 360 approach to plugin creation helped turn our dream into reality.”

Producer and Composer
The Challenge: From Vision to Flagship Plugin
Producer and Sauceware CEO My Best Friend Jacob set out to create a plugin that would inspire producers with high-quality sound engine, an inspiring preset library, and workflow tools like a built-in chord generator. His goal: a tool that makes it faster and more fun to start beats without sacrificing professional sound quality.
The challenge was to turn that vision into a reliable, cross-platform plugin that could bring together custom DSP, a polished sound engine, and an intuitive user interface.
Defining the Product
We worked closely with Jacob to translate his concept into a detailed product specification – identifying the DSP requirements, feature set, and performance goals to ensure the development roadmap aligned with his creative vision.

DSP & Engine Development
Our developers built and refined the DSP algorithms and sound engine that power Scorch. Throughout the process, Jacob provided feedback on prototypes, helping us fine-tune the performance and feel of the plugin.

UI Implementation & Delivery
With Sauceware providing the UI design, our team handled the coding and integration, ensuring the interface worked seamlessly with the sound engine. We delivered final builds for VST3 and AU on Mac and Windows, with robust installation and licensing support.
